Job Description

We're searching for a director of sales who is motivated to help our busy hotel meet its sales targets. You will be in charge of developing our sales strategy and revenue objectives, training and assessing our sales employees, and ensuring that we create new and recurring business across various hotel sectors. Our ideal applicant is a sales professional with 5+ years of experience, a leader, a problem-solver, and a team player. Responsibilities Establish strategies to assist the sales team in meeting and exceeding monthly room booking goals that are aligned with overall hotel and revenue management objectives Boost revenue and increase new guest visits through strategic outbound sales efforts that may include phone solicitation to local professionals, corporations, and members of your personal network Evaluate information gathered from market data and create a plan to meet design marketing deliverables, hotel financial goals, and create an annual sales forecast Report on sales activities for the previous and future weeks in meetings with department leaders, and prepare a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenditures Coordinate with the management team and department heads in designing and implementing sales strategies to achieve high occupancy and profitability Qualifications Exemplary communication skills, leadership skills, and analytical skills 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality field, is required Knowledge of computer-based software such as Microsoft Word and Excel Must have a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field We prefer someone with prior hospitality experience but is not required Compensation $55,000 - $65,000 per year #J-18808-Ljbffr
