We're searching for a director of sales who is motivated to help our busy hotel meet its sales targets. You will be in charge of developing our sales strategy and revenue objectives, training and assessing our sales employees, and ensuring that we create new and recurring business across various hotel sectors. Responsibilities: • Report on sales activities for the previous and future weeks in meetings with department leaders, and prepare a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenditures • Create methods to help the sales team reach and surpass monthly room booking targets that are in line with the hotel's overall revenue management goals • Formulate sales strategies that sustain high levels of occupancy and profitability in collaboration with department managers and their goals • Design a strategy to meet hotel financial goals, create marketing deliverables, and develop an annual sales forecast by analyzing market data • Generate new revenue by using a targeted outbound sales strategy that includes personal calls in your network, phone solicitation to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups or corporations Develop and execute the hotel's strategic sales plan to achieve revenue goals.Prospect, solicit, and secure new business across corporate, group, extended stay, negotiated, and local market segments.Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities.Partner with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, inventory, and market strategy.Conduct outside sales calls, networking events, site tours, and client presentations.Lead weekly sales meetings and ensure accountability for prospecting, pipeline management, and production goals.Collaborate with Operations to ensure an exceptional guest experience from booking through departure.Monitor competitive activity and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.Maintain accurate sales activity, forecasting, and reporting.Represent the hotel within the local community and industry organizations. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required • Prior experience of 5+ years as a sales professional in a related field is required • Knowledge of computer-based software such as Microsoft Word and Excel • Displays a proven track record of sales success by lead-generation and closing • Previous hospitality industry experience preferred but not required Hotel sales experience preferred, with leadership experience strongly desired.Proven ability to develop business and exceed revenue goals.Strong relationship-building and networking skills.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.Strategic thinker with strong organizational and time management skills.Self-motivated, driven, and accountable.Experience working with hotel sales systems and CRM platforms is preferred.Passion for coaching others and creating a positive, high-performing culture.What Success Looks Like Consistently achieving or exceeding revenue goals.Building strong relationships with clients, community partners, and local businesses.Maintaining a healthy and active sales pipeline.Collaborating effectively with Revenue Management and Operations.Creating memorable experiences for clients while driving profitable business.Leading with integrity, accountability, and positivity.
